Tansy Bug Repellant

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh tansy leaves and flowers, packed

  • 8 cups water

Prepare the Repellant

  1. Place water in a pot and bring to a boil on the stove.

  2. Add tansy leaves and turn heat off. Let tansy sit in hot water until completely cooled.

  3. Strain the water into a labeled spray bottle and dispose of tansy into the garbage.

  4. Spray on plants and flowers to repel insects.

  5. Make sure to rinse edible plants off before consuming if the tansy repellant was sprayed on them.

  6. Fresh tansy leaves can be rubbed on skin to repel bugs and mosquitoes as well.
